Bulky Item Pickup Day
City of Vancouver residents with active Waste Connections garbage service can use the free bulky item pickup program to dispose of up to five items too large or bulky to fit in a garbage cart. Customers are eligible for one curbside pickup each calendar year of up to five items. Sign up on RecycleRight.
Appliance disposal
In addition to the Bulky Item Pickup, an annual one-time free appliance pickup is available to single-family households as part of regular Vancouver Solid Waste services.
To arrange for an appliance pickup under our regular program, you must schedule directly with Waste Connections by calling 360-892-5370 or emailing customerhelp@wcnx.org. The appliances collected as part of the regular appliance pickup option will be recycled.
Appliances collected as part of the Bulky Item Pickup Day will be sent to the landfill.
Cleanup Coupons
A set of coupons for free spring cleanup of yard debris and tires is provided to each single-family residential customer within the City of Vancouver with an active Waste Connections account. Coupons are valid for three months, from April 1 through June 30.
To help residents take care of fallen leaves, we offer fall leaf coupons for free disposal at designated drop-off sites. Vancouver and Clark County residents can redeem the free leaf disposal coupons from October 1 through December 31. This coupon is for leaves only.
All cell phones: regardless of size, make, model or age.
Size limits: Lithium-ion batteries must be no larger than 300Wh and no battery can weigh more than 11lbs.
Quantity limits: Drop-offs limited to 10 batteries per day.
Does not accept: Vaping or e-cigarette devices/products, batteries from businesses, batteries larger than 300Wh, vehicle batteries, battery-containing products (except cell phones), other hazardous waste, damaged, defective or recalled batteries.

Do not put these in your curbside garbage or recycling. You may drop off this item for recycling. CALL BEFORE YOU DRIVE!

Household Hazardous Waste: To identify potentially hazardous products, look for words on the product label such as poison, danger, warning, caution, or flammable.
Most household hazardous wastes are generated from one of the following categories:
Automotive Products: oil, antifreeze, gasoline, brake and transmission fluid
Household Cleaners: oven cleaners, drain cleaners, disinfectants, laundry products
Paints and Solvents: latex and oil-based paint, thinners, varnishes, wood preservatives
Poisons/Pesticides: fungicides, insecticides, herbicides and rodenticides
